Staff Blog Page

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

Welcome to the Staff Blog page. Let me say first that I am not a paid staff at DCHS but I am an involved parent of high school band student. Dennis Wofford and I work together to provide you with the best little corner of cyberspace we can offer for DeSoto Central Bands. You will see Dennis out and about taking pictures, videos and doing interviews. You probably won’t see me that much; I do the stuff on the backside, web design and coding. Dennis is the better looking of the two of us anyway. :) So if you were one of the lucky ones that received twelve “test” emails from the site by accident, you can thank me for that. Also if you get this message by email twice, sorry about that, I’m still working out some kinks. We continue working many long hours perfecting the site to make band life easier and more fun. It is my hope that we have achieved that goal. The Staff Blog is the newest section of dcspride.com that will include commentary from the Band Directors and Band Booster Officers. Sometimes it will be informative or sometimes it may just be fun. You are encouraged to interact with these blog posts by clicking on the comment link just above each post to add your own comments. Be sure to register on the site and your email address will be added to the list to receive notifications when information has been posted on dcspride.com. If you are interested in subscribing to our RSS feeds, there are two feeds available at http://www.dcspride.com/feed and the comments feed at http://www.dcspride.com/comments/feed. If you are receiving this post by email and you no longer have a student in the band, please email me at tony@dcspride.com and I will remove your name from the list. Watch this page for more introductions from staff and booster officers. Enjoy the site and take some time to look around and send me your thoughts and ideas to make dcspride.com better.

Some Overlooked Memories (Tying Up Loose Ends)

IMG_1089

Remember the trip to San Antonio last spring to march in the Fiesta Flambeau parade? Ahhh…who could forget it? Long bus rides, orange t-shirts, burritos, funny hats; it’s the stuff that lasting memories are made of. And speaking of remembering, you can travel down memory lane once again by clicking on the picture above to view some recently added (and long overlooked) photos from the Alamo city that, for some reason about which we’re still scratching our heads, did not get added to the website. But they are posted now for your viewing pleasure…enjoy!
