JAG DAY 2011 IS COMING!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, Sept. 17, 10am-5pm (rain date Sept. 24)!
Click here for JAG DAY Booth Application.  Return now with booth fee to reserve your spot!

JAG DAY is a fun fair-like event that informs our community about DC Schools organizations (like the DC Pride Marching Band) and affords a great opportunity for fund raising for Desoto Central Schools organizations (like the DC Pride Marching Band)!

SILENT AUCTION items are to be dropped off Friday, Sept. 16, 5-9pm, in the Band Hall.  Each band student is required  to provide at least one auction item having a minimum retail of $40 value.  These items can be new or gently used and in clean condition.  Auction bid sheets need to be filled out prior to bringing the item to the auction! Download auction form here. You will be responsible for arranging your auction item on the designated tables. Please be courteous of others and don’t take up a large area.  Gift certificates need to be secured in a “presentation” form for the auction (basket, frame, etc.)   If you have any questions, please contact the Jag Day Auction committee or email gina.fowler@yahoo.com.

Cowadunga!

Thursday, August 11th, 2011

If you are interested in getting more Cowadunga tickets, please email Kim Weeden at Kimweeden@yahoo.com or Keesha Coleman at keeshgreen@aol.com.  Make sure to tell them your child’s name and how many tickets you would like.  Remember, they need to be in groups of 10.  Also please make sure you have signed and turned in your contract to sell.  Thanks in advance.

Band Families there is a great opportunity for you to go to all home games for the amazing low price of $30. If you would like you can purchase a football pass through the band. Our first home game is Friday, August 19 and passes will be available at the pass gate. If you are interested please send a check by next Monday, August 15 made out to the DC Band Boosters. We would like to give the athletic director time to print them out. You may purchase as many passes as you would like. On the envelope put your band students name so we know what family it is and then the names of each person a pass is being purchased for so the passes will have the names on them. REMEMBER OUR BAND STUDENTS DO NOT NEED TO HAVE A PASS!!!! The football pass gate is just to the South, left ,of the concession stand and a band parent will be there to hand them out. This is the gate you will enter weekly.

Band Booster Meeting and Band Expo

Monday, August 1st, 2011

Booster Meeting Monday, August 1, 6:30pm!

The meeting will begin promptly at 6:30 and will conclude with an exhibition of what our amazing band has learned during band camp.  Make sure to come and support your child.  There are many important items being discussed at the meeting so please do your best to attend.  If you have not made your 2nd fair share payment ($125.00), please make sure to do so at the booster meeting; make checks payable to DC Band Boosters.  Please make sure you sign up to volunteer, on the volunteer sheet, for Jag Day at the meeting.  We will need all of you to help make Jag Day a HUGE success!!!  There are many different areas to choose from and it is a great opportunity to make some new band family friends.  If you have not seen your Cowadunga tickets yet ask your child. They were sent home at the end of the school year. If anyone is in need of more than their 10, please send a note with your child requesting more.  You must take the tickets in blocks of 10.  You will receive $6 in your account for each ticket sold.  This is a great way to beef up your account.  We will also have opportunities to sell at Kroger; dates provided as soon as possible.  If anyone is interested in helping put together a Battle of the Bands for Jag Day please email Wendy Hayes at wisconsinhayes@hotmail.com.
